PRICING
Strictly Swing Competitions – $40/45 per couple

STRICTLY SWING CONTEST INFORMATION

The Strictly Swing Competitions are designed to showcase a competitor’s social dance skills with a chosen partner.
• Competitors enter as a couple.
• All dancing in the Strictly Swing competitions is to be lead/follow.
• Lead and follow roles are not interchangeable. (No switching roles between partners during the competition)
• Contest music and the order in which it is played will be selected by the competition DJs.
• Costumes are prohibited however coordinating attire is permissible.
• In swing dance contests the preliminary rounds are used to narrow the field to 8-12 contestants. If there are less entry’s the contest may go straight to finals.

WEST COAST SWING
• No routines, lifts, aerials, planned entrances or exits are allowed.
• Breakaways and drops are permitted but not required.

LINDY HOP
• No routines, planned exits or entrances are allowed.
• Lifts, aerials, drops and breakaways are permitted, but not required.

BALBOA
• No routines, planned exits or entrances are allowed.
• Lifts, aerials, drops and breakaways are permitted, but not required.

GENERAL RULES

If competitors are from two different divisions, the competitor from the lower division must compete up. For example: a novice lead and an intermediate follow must compete in the intermediate strictly.

Competitors may compete in two separate divisions for strictly if they are switching roles. For example, if you normally compete as a follower, you may compete one level down as a leader as well as in your normal division as a follower as long as the above requirements are met. You may not compete in two levels in the same role.
